New Year's Eve Hike

On New Year's Eve, Anna and I took a hike on the Salt Run Trail around Kendall Lake in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. It was freezing but beautiful and sunny, and as soon as we began walking uphill, we warmed up a bit. Winter sun in Ohio is some of the most beautiful, cool light in which to photograph. We hiked in the late afternoon, so the progression of light and the way in which it changed the landscape was enchanting. All in all, the hike made for a perfect way to say goodbye to 2014 and to prepare for a new and exciting year ahead.
