Trip to Bainbridge Island

 A few days ago, Jason and I took a trip to nearby Bainbridge Island to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary. We had heard a lot about it and we were excited to explore a new place--- recently, we've been pretty big on being tourists in our new home! Bainbridge Island is just a short ferry ride across Puget Sound, so we made our way downtown and hopped on the boat.

The fog settled silently above the water and made everything eerie and still.

Right as we got off the ferry, we ran into this little guy right on the edge of the sidewalk! We consulted my sister, our trusty small creature specialist, and she let us know he was a vole. It's important to note that his fuzzy little body distracted me from noticing his terrifying worm-like tail.

It also makes me so incredibly happy to experience fall again! The leaves are even more colorful now, so I'm heading out again this weekend to capture them.
