Snoqualmie Falls

Last weekend, I took a little drive to Snoqualmie Falls. I needed a short, exciting photo adventure, and I also needed to soak in what I'm sure was the last warm and sunny day here for a while.

You may recognize the falls from the opening credits for Twin Peaks--- the building at the top is the Salish Inn, which posed as the Great Northern Hotel in the show!

It was a beautiful day and all the lookouts and paths were filled with people. I think I'll go back again soon so I can hike for a bit longer--- I was wearing inappropriate footwear (even though I knew better) so I didn't make it very far on the slippery path, especially not without almost falling a few times.

This photo is  a bit different--- I was playing with a Holga lens for my Nikon DSLR, and the image below is my favorite one. It's a little dizzying and makes me uncomfortable, but I kind of like that.
