Stay-cationing

Even though I didn't go too far during my Spring Break, I did get to do an awful lot of stay-cationing.  It's nice to do this every once in a while- it really helps you appreciate all of the awesome things you have in your own backyard.

On Anna and Kristyn's last day in LA, we took a trip to the Griffith Observatory.  We made the choice (mistake) of going here on a Saturday, which ended up being super busy and crowded.  But it was a nice, warm day, so what better place to go than a sweet museum filled with space treasures?  Really, though, there isn't a better place because 1.) Parking is free.  2.)  Walking around the observatory and on the hiking trails that go around the observatory is free.  3.)  The museum is awesome and also very free.  Plus, you get so see some great views of the city AND the docents and tour guides are so eager to teach you something new.  We met a pretty sweet docent who was talking our ears off about Pluto and its unfortunate and awkward role in our solar system.  He was amazing.  Plus, he was wearing a dinosaur tie.

So busy!
